When we pick a product to review at Charan Reviews, we do not start by asking, “Is this popular?” We start with a simpler question: “Would this actually be useful to someone in everyday life?”

There are thousands of gadgets online, and many of them look impressive in a product listing. A long feature list, attractive photos, or a large number of reviews can make a product seem like a great choice. But using a product yourself can tell you something very different. That is why our reviews focus on the experience of actually using the product, not just what the product promises on paper.

The first thing we consider is usefulness. A gadget should solve a real problem or make something easier. We look at whether the product has a practical purpose and whether that purpose is clear after using it. A product does not need to be complicated to be useful. Sometimes a simple everyday tool can be more satisfying than a gadget packed with unnecessary features.

Next, we pay attention to ease of use. Is it comfortable to handle? Are the controls straightforward? Does it take a lot of time to understand? Small details can make a big difference when you use something regularly. A product that sounds excellent but is frustrating to operate may not deserve a high recommendation.

We also look at the overall experience. This includes the design, convenience, performance, and the things we personally liked or disliked while using it. We do not expect every product to be perfect. In fact, noticing weaknesses is an important part of a useful review.

For example, the idea behind a 3-in-1 scalp massager and hair oil applicator is convenient, but our experience with the oil-application side was not as easy as expected. Similarly, a portable fan can be useful for personal airflow while still receiving a lower rating if its performance does not meet expectations.

Price also matters, but we do not judge a product only by whether it is cheap or expensive. We think about what you get for the money and whether the overall experience feels worthwhile.

Finally, we ask one important question: “Who is this product actually for?” A gadget can be excellent for one person and unnecessary for another.

That is the approach behind Charan Reviews. We try to keep our reviews simple, practical, and honest. Instead of telling you that every product is a must-have, we want to explain what we liked, what we did not like, and whether we think the product is worth considering.

A 10/10 rating sounds simple, but we do not give it just because a product looks good or has a lot of features. For us, a perfect score means the product delivered a genuinely strong overall experience and gave us very few reasons to complain.

At Charan Reviews, we look at several things before deciding on a rating. The most important is usefulness. If a product does something well and makes everyday life easier, that gives it a strong starting point. A gadget does not have to be expensive or advanced to score highly. What matters is whether it does its job properly.

Ease of use is another major factor. We like products that are straightforward and convenient. If you can pick something up, understand how it works, and start using it without unnecessary effort, that is a positive. Products that require too much adjustment, complicated instructions, or constant maintenance may lose points even if their basic idea is good.

We also pay attention to the actual experience. This is where our personal testing matters. A product can have excellent specifications, but if using it does not feel comfortable or practical, the rating should reflect that. We consider things such as handling, convenience, performance, design, and whether the product does what we expected it to do.

Value is part of the picture too. We do not mean that every 10/10 product has to be the cheapest option. Instead, we ask whether the overall experience feels worth what someone would spend. A reasonably priced product that performs exactly as needed can be more impressive than an expensive gadget with features that are rarely useful.

Consistency is important as well. A product should not feel great for five minutes and disappointing afterward. When we rate something highly, we want the positive experience to make sense as an everyday recommendation.

Our 10/10 ratings also come from comparison with expectations. We do not expect a nail cutter to perform like a high-tech gadget. We judge it according to what it is supposed to do. The nail cutter we reviewed received 10/10 because the experience was smooth, convenient, and felt genuinely worthwhile for its purpose. Our scalp massager also received 10/10 because it was convenient to use and worked well as a relaxing self-care tool.

Most importantly, a 10/10 rating does not mean the product will be perfect for every person. Personal preferences, needs, and budgets are different.

For us, a 10/10 simply means: after using the product, we would be comfortable saying, “Yes, this is one worth considering.” That is the standard we try to keep behind every high rating on Charan Reviews.

Not every product we try becomes a recommendation. That may sound obvious, but it is an important part of how we approach Charan Reviews.

When you look at product content online, it can sometimes feel as if everything is described as amazing, must-have, or worth buying. We wanted our reviews to be a little different. If we give every product a high rating, the rating stops being useful. A 10/10 should mean something, so we are comfortable giving lower scores when our experience is not strong enough for a recommendation.

The first reason we may hold back is simple: the product might not perform as well as expected. A gadget can have a good concept but still fall short during actual use. Features listed on a product page do not automatically translate into a great everyday experience.

We also consider convenience. Something may technically work, but if using it feels awkward, messy, uncomfortable, or more complicated than it needs to be, that matters. People usually buy everyday gadgets to make life easier, not to create another small task.

One example from our reviews is the 3-in-1 electric scalp massager and hair oil applicator. The idea is interesting because several functions are combined into one product. However, we found the oil-application side a little messy and not as easy as we expected. Because of that experience, we gave it 5/10 rather than automatically recommending it.

The portable fan is another example. A compact fan can be useful when you want personal airflow, especially in situations where carrying a larger fan is not practical. But usefulness alone does not guarantee a high score. If the performance does not suit everyone, the rating should acknowledge that. That product received 5/10.

A lower rating is not necessarily a statement that a product is “bad.” It can simply mean that we think there are better reasons to spend your money elsewhere, or that the product is suitable only for a particular type of user.

We also believe honest criticism makes positive reviews more meaningful. When a product receives 8/10 or 10/10, you know we are not using the same score for everything.

Our goal at Charan Reviews is not to tell you to buy every product we feature. The goal is to give you enough practical information to decide for yourself. We want you to know what worked for us, what did not, and what kind of buyer might appreciate the product.

Sometimes the most useful review is not “Buy this.” Sometimes it is simply, “This is what we experienced—now you can decide.”
